Heartless Billionaire: The Stolen Smile

Chapter 8

Asher returned home and placed down his coat on the chair and sank into the sofa.

He shut his eyes as he recalled the video he had seen of Jane kissing Gray, but what annoyed him more was hearing that they had been meeting for two years, and he had no idea all this while.

“Shit!” He groaned and curled his hand into a fist, opening his eyes.

He picked up his cell phone and glanced at it, there was still no call or message from Jane, he angrily tossed the phone on the chair and got to his feet.

Taking off his shirt, he walked into his room, took off his trousers, and walked into the bathroom to take his bath.

He stared at the mirror in the bathroom, his eyebrows furrowed, and his eyes were red even though he hadn't cried, but deep in his heart was bleeding.

This was a betrayal he never foresaw, he wanted to have her as his wife, and he loved her so much.

He was ready to give up everything just for her, but what did he get, her betrayal, she was in love with another, she cheated on him and lied to his face.

He turned on the shower and let the water run down his body from his hair. Furthermore, he placed his hand on the wall of the bathroom, his face lowered as the water ran down his broad shoulder.

Furthermore, he didn't make a rash decision, but he didn't mind making this one. She first betrayed him, so he had no choice but to make her heart bleed like his heart was right now, although he doubted she would feel anything.

It was hard to accept that she didn't love him, but what hurt more is that he didn't learn this soon until he gave her his heart, every part of it now loves her.

He wrapped his towel around his waist and walked out of the bathroom, wrapped his robe around him after drying his hair and body, he walked back to the sitting room and glanced at his phone expectantly.

Still no call and no text message, all his thoughts registered were that she was with him, with Gary Dawson.

Never had he had this kind of thought whenever she didn't take his call, he had always felt she was busy with work or doing something else, but now many imaginations played through his mind.

He couldn't brush it off, the more he thought of the nasty things she could be doing with that man, the more it provoked him.

He turned his cell phone off and went to his wine cabinet, taking out a bottle of whiskey and a glass cup, he poured a glass and drowned it at once.

The whiskey churned inside his throat, but the ache in his heart was greater.

Olivia returned home after having fun with Chloe, it was past eight when she got back to the apartment.

“Mom, I'm home!” She called out, but there was no response, she glanced around the sitting room, but she didn't find anyone.

She glanced at her parents' room door and then decided to take the call first as her ringing tone was loud.

She answered the call while placing down her coat and neck scarf. “Hello, Lawrence.” She said in the sexiest voice she can put on, lowering herself down on her bed.

Lawrence was silent for a while at the other end of the line, it felt like he was taken aback by her voice before he spoke up.

“How are you?” He asked from the other end of the line, and Olivia adjusted her hair.

It felt like he was there with her, she wished he could see her blush, she was right, he had feelings for her, and that must be the reason he was asking how she was doing.

'I know I have to make the first move, perhaps he is shy.' She said in her head.

“I am doing okay, I had a blast today with Chloe and wished you had been there with us, you can't believe what----”

“I will win his heart, one way or another.” She swallowed hard and got to her feet as she went into the bathroom to shower.
